How to Build a Kid-Sized Tabernacle

Target Age
Preschoolers

Activity Description
Read portions of Exodus 35-36 from the Bible.  After each couple of sentences, stop, and build that portion of a kid-sized tabernacle.   Free play time can be used for dramatic play inside and around it.

  2. Also, do you know the approximate cost of buying the PVC pipes? I think this is a great idea, just wondering more details on pulling it off.

  3. I got the PVC pipes from Home Depot. The gold fabric is two tablecloths held together with clothespins, and the purple fabric came from the clearance section in Joann’s. I bought a remnant of a roll. Luckily, it was enough because I didn’t measure! Don’t remember how much they cost. I don’t remember the measurements for the PVC pipes, but I imagine that would change based on how big your children are. Mine was sized for five year olds.
